Shoiab Khan has a plan: he wants to expand his family's business in Pakistan. His father was a successful businessman and ran a thriving apparel business. The rest of his family is also active in the apparel industry. At Starthope@Home in Berlin Shoiab and our trainer Maha Alusi planned the first concrete steps on the way to his dream.
After four years in Germany, Shoaib has learned many languages and broadened his horizons. With the knowledge and experiences he made in Germany he is now ready to return to Pakistan.
Through the return consulting center of IOM (International Organisation of Migration), Shoaib learned about our program StartHope@Home. In August 2019 he submitted a grant application for business start-ups. In our Social Impact Lab in Berlin Shoaib has, among other things, worked out his unique selling point, developed his own social media strategy and wrote his financing plan. With the elaborated business plan Shoaib receives support for his small business through an additional funding program. The condition for the funding is that he creates at least one job.
Complementing his family's clothing business gives Shoaib new hope and perspectives for a future back home in Pakistan. He is grateful for the training and the new, inspiring ideas he gained through the coaching.
We wish him every success in building a business and all the best for his future!
